Pomeroy and Garfield County offer a variety of outdoor recreation activities, and municipal amenities.  Within the City of Pomeroy, visitors can enjoy the Pomeroy City Park with a picnic shelter, classic playground elements, and plenty of sun or shade.  Golfers can experience a unique 9-hole course at Crystal Springs Municipal Golf Course, while swimmers can visit the municipal swimming pool just down the street, open June through late August.

Nestled between the Snake River on the north and the majestic Blue Mountains and the Umatilla National Forest on the South, Garfield County offers outdoor enthusiasts year-round opportunities for fishing, hunting, back-packing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, mushroom or huckleberry picking, camping, ATV riding, hiking, wood-cutting,  boating, swimming, bird-watching, wildlife viewing, mountain biking, cycling, and picnicking. Cabin rentals in The Blues are available through the Pomeroy Ranger District, as well as information on current access and permits, www.usfs.gov. For current hunting and fishing season and regulations, contact Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, https://wdfw.wa.gov/
